No...So, it sounds like he might be a little early. Not uncommon when they induce the mom. And even though we think babies should be "ok" at 36 or 37 weeks, or even 38 weeks, sometimes they have other thoughts. Most likely he just needs to develop a little muscle tone in the neck. It is very common for babies his size to not be able to keep their airway open when they are in the sitting position, which leads to drop in oxygenation and then drop in heart rate. It might just take him a little bit to get it all together to be able to ride in the car seat. Did they test him in a car bed? That is what we do when they aren't able to ride in the upright position. Then in a few weeks they can transition into the upright car seat and do perfectly fine. I'll keep him and Krissy and all of you in my prayers. Having him in the NICU can be really rough for you all, especially Krissy while she is hormonal as well as coming down from the blood pressure issues and recuperating from a C-section. That can be so overwhelming. And thank God he did it for them there, now they can monitor and you will know for sure he is ready for the car ride.
