For those of you that aren't friends with Krissy on Facebook, I thought I'd better post a recent picture of Ryan. I took this picture Sunday afternoon after Gammy put him to sleep. Look at those chubby cheeks!! Quite a change from that scrawny little baby of two months ago!

God's Grace
I was going to post this last night, but Blogger has changed everything. I had to download something new to be able to even post again. I was too tired to deal with it last night.
I wanted to thank God that His grace is sufficient. I was having a rough day yesterday with quite a few tears. I don't know exactly what started the flow, but I was thinking about Lainey. We had been out late Saturday night, and I didn't have lunch ready (or even planned) when we got home from church Sunday morning. I was wiping my tears & blowing my nose, considering the prospect of peanut butter sandwiches for lunch, when my mother-in-law walked in. She had just come from a church dinner. They had served chicken & noodles and had a lot leftover. They had packed her an ice cream bucket full of leftover noodles for us. My family was fed a nice, warm, homemade dinner, and I got a 3-hour nap. It was just God's way of showing me He loves me and was a blessing to me yesterday.

The Birthday Girls
Analise turned 5 on Tuesday, April 17th
Heather turned 12 on Saturday, April 14th
Heather turned 12 on Saturday, April 14th
We celebrated Heather & Nanna's birthdays on Monday night. They agreed on spaghetti & Erin's homemade breadsticks for supper with milkshakes, instead of birthday cake, for dessert. They enjoyed a fun evening with their family. Autumn & Nathan were here. Krissy & Ryan were home. Grandma & Grandpa Cooper and Grandma & Grandpa Sanders also came over.

Something to Celebrate!
I know the top picture is blurry, but it is so precious! Ryan is a happy boy today! Krissy got permission to take his heart monitor off today, and she returned it this afternoon. We are jumping for joy!! Especially after it went off several times this morning at about 3:30 because of a loose lead. He will be 6 weeks old this Friday. He is such a good baby...just sleeps & eats like the textbooks tell us. I'm glad he's read the textbooks!

Mega Easter Egg Hunt
We spent the afternoon picking up rocks in one of our fields. The girls decided to make a game out of it and pretend like we were hunting for Easter eggs....sort of the same shape, just a little harder and a little heavier. I would consider that a Mega Hunt--an 80-acre field full of rocks of all shapes, sizes, and colors. I just asked my resident farmer how many square feet are in an 80-acre field. The answer? 3,484,800 square feet. Man! Now, I'm REALLY tired!!!! We didn't get quite halfway across the field, so we'll finish tomorrow...hopefully.
And, yes, that's a mourning dove in Erin's hands. She has a broken wing. Kara found her shortly after we started, so Erin carried her all afternoon. She is now comfortably settled in a cage here in the house. We can't believe how calm and tame she is. She seems quite content to sit in the girls' hands. Erin is quite the animal rehabilitator!

Happy birthday to me!
This week's birthday girls--Mom & Leah. We had our picture taken because our dresses kind of matched today. Heather & Nanna will be the birthday girls in a couple of weeks. We have 4 birthdays in a 3-week span.
The birthday girl with her favorite guy! Doesn't he look like he's in pain? He wasn't too thrilled about having his picture taken.
We had a nice supper & some yummy strawberry dessert. Then I opened my gifts & cards. I received flowers, candy, jewelry, clothes, and a yard ornament. The weather was beautiful. It was a great day!
