The New Shed

We tore down an old shed out back this past winter.  We built a new, bigger shed in its place this summer.  For the past 3 days, they have been pouring concrete.  They poured the approaches in front of the doors this morning.  The girls put their handprints in the wet concrete outside of the walk-in door before it dried.
And my grandsons put their footprints in the concrete!
The picture I took of the prints almost looks like they're raised up, but, obviously, they're not.  I think it turned out awesome!  One of these days when Grady's 6-foot-2 like his daddy and puts his foot beside that tiny baby print, it will be pretty cool!

Mark Trammell Quartet Homecoming

We made our annual trip to Alabama the second weekend of August.  This was the view of the river at our campground.  It's a great place to stay!
The girls spent several hours at the pool on Friday.  They are all about to jump in here.

That's the office/laundry/shower house in the background.
 Good action shot!
Our good friends, The Whisnants, were there on Friday night.  Greater Vision was the guest group on Saturday night.
 The Mark Trammell Quartet
We met Pat Barker and his family at the park on Saturday for lunch.  It poured down rain while we were eating our lunch, but the kids (and Pat) played on wet playground equipment when it let up.  This is Pat and Leah being silly.

Sweet Corn Season

Ryan's first sweet corn.  Boy, did he love it!!!
We did corn two days this year.  This was Kara & Nanna at the beginning of the first day.  I don't think their smiles were quite as big by the end of the second day of corn.
Corn ready to go in the pot!!
Corn ready to go in the freezer!!  It sure will taste good this winter when the snow's flying!!

Busy with Life

 Ryan Joseph, 17 months
Grady James, 9 months

I know I've been MIA (missing in action) for over a month now.  I have been getting complaints, and I apologize.  My last post was of our trip to the fair.  The next day, Gary's dad ended up in the hospital, and we almost lost him.  It's been chaos ever since!!  Gary's dad is doing much better now.  I can't say things have slowed down much, but it's a "good busy" now.
